Step Toward A Godly Walk uses the Interntational Sunday School Lessons in the hopes more Christians will take Jesus with them throughout the day. And The New Living Translation of The Bible because that is the one easiest for me to understand and apply to my life. Maybe if more of us are reading the same scriptures we can use our discussions to expose others to the Living Word of God and the Savior he provided for us all in a positive way.

Prepare your mind to being shaped by God....

Close your eyes and use your breathing to set the rhythm of your prayer.

As you breath in.......relax.....
imagine drawing into yourself
the goodness of
Jesus.
Love, Forgiveness, Peace, Holiness
As you breath out....relax further.........imagine letting go and giving out:
hate, resentment, revenge, unkindness.

But now you must be holy in everything
you do, just as God who chose you is holy. 1 Peter 1:15

Exodus 19:6 And you will be my kingdom of priests, my holy nation.’ This is the message you must give to the people of Israel.”
If we want to be the Holy people God calls us to be we have to listen to the message he is sending us.

Wednesday Oct. 28: Numbers 15:37-41

Numbers 15:40 The tassels will help you remember that you must obey all my commands and be holy to your God.
No tassels maybe that is our problem ?

Thursday Oct. 29: Acts 1:1-11

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Friday Oct. 30: Acts 2:1-4

Acts 2: 4 And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.
Much is said in the Christian world about this. Seems there are denominations that embrace it and there are denominations that run from it. Seems to me when you let the fire of the Holy spirit run rampant through you, many around you think you are talking out of your head.

Saturday Oct. 31: 1 Peter 1:1-12

1 Peter 1:7 These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

My trials don't look the same as yours. We all have them sometimes I don't understand yours any more than you understand mine. The question is through YOUR trials does your faith remain strong? God is still working on me, sometimes I am weak and sometimes I am strong.

Sunday Nov. 1: 1 Peter 1:13-25
1 Peter 1:14 So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then.

Dear Lord, put the desire in each of our hearts to be holy as you would have us be.

A Holy People think clearly, live courageously, and love deeply.
