DECLARED IN PRAYER
Take my
yoke upon you. Let me teach you,
because I am humble and gentle at heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.

Step Toward A Godly Walk uses
the International Sunday School Lessons in the hopes more Christians
will take Jesus with them throughout the day. And The
New Living Translation of The Bible
because that is the one easiest for me to understand
and apply to my life. Maybe if more of us are reading
the same scriptures we can use our discussions to
expose others to the Living Word of God and the Savior
he provided for us all in a positive way.

Prepare
your mind to being shaped by God....
Close
your eyes and use your breathing
to set the rhythm of your prayer.
As you breath in.......relax.....
imagine drawing into yourself
the goodness of
Jesus.
Love, Forgiveness, Peace,
Holiness
As you breath out....relax further.........imagine
letting
go and giving out:
hate, resentment, revenge, unkindness.
Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you,
because I am humble and gentle at heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
Matthew
11:9

READINGS |
Monday Jan. 18: John 11:38-44
John :38 Jesus was still angry as he arrived at
the tomb, a cave with a stone rolled across its entrance. 39 “Roll the stone aside,” Jesus
told them.
I love this verse..as gentle as Jesus was he still got angry when
His followers didn't trust their faith.
|
Tuesday Jan. 19: Matthew 6:5-8
Matthew 6:6 But when you pray, go
away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private.
Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.
|
Wednesday Jan. 20: Matthew 14:22-33
Matthew 14:30 But when he saw the
strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me,
Lord!” he shouted.
I DISLIKE when my faith is like Peter’s strong until the winds and waves
come.
|
Thursday Jan. 21: Matthew 19:13-15
Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, “Let
the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs
to those who are like these children.”
|
Friday Jan. 22: Matthew 5:43-48
Matthew 5:44 But I say, love your enemies!
Pray for those who persecute you!
|
Saturday Jan. 23: Matthew 21:18-22
Matthew 21:22 You can pray for anything,
and if you have faith, you will receive it.
|
Sunday Jan. 24: Matthew 11:25-30
Matthew 11:25 At that time Jesus prayed
this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these
things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing
them to the childlike.
