Research your diagnosis and your
medicine. Sometimes it is the medicine or medicine
interactions making you sick.

Managing Medicine has come a long way....medicine
boxes are beneficial for remembering or checking to see if one
has taken the medicine.
Use the following chart with your medicine box
to keep track of prescription needs and for discussing issues
during doctor's visits and trips to the emergency room.

We have the false notion that once we are released
from the hospital we are well. How many times have you told
someone “I’m fine” once released from the hospital. Truth be known...many
times we have just started the recovery process. We do not feel like
going to the grocery store, stopping at the pharmacy and preparing healthy
meals. We are worn out from the “discharge process” at the hospital...it
can take days to recover from that process alone.
When you are released from the hospital...let someone help
you get everything in order. Let someone go to the store, pick up
your prescriptions, and prepare a meal or two for you.
Letting someone else help
is not a sign of age or weakness. IT IS A GOOD THING.
